The Ella Ring in Tourmaline
I'm always aiming to expand my skill set, so if you're familiar with my work, you might notice a few enamel colors on this ring that you've never seen before--a light magenta pink, achieved by layering a transparent enamel over an opaque white, and a transparent red-purple over foil. Hours of experiments precede new color ventures like this, which are especially tricky when working on 14K gold due to potential reactions between enamel and and alloy components. Not only does success mean a beautifully unique new ring, but it also opens the door to new possibilities on future rings, very exciting!
In this apricot tourmaline Ella, I've used my new colors to create an intriguing color scheme, mixing very bold and more subtle colors for an effect that is utterly tantalizing. The color palette is framed by a very art deco motif, for an overall effect that is bold and dramatic. Is your personality a beautiful blend of bold and more subtle elements? Than this would be a great ring for celebrating what makes you you.
