The Seraphine Ring in Sapphire and Diamonds
On occasion, I create a ring that represents my current high water mark in artistry and skill. The Seraphine in sapphire and diamonds is that ring. My inspiration began with a gorgeous teal sapphire cut by Jenna Sloane. I knew I needed to create something truly special to feature this wonderful gem. Not only that, but I wanted to pick a design that could really showcase the subtlety and brilliance of transparent enamels. Days were spent on experimentation, creating an ombre enamel scheme that is vibrant and compelling. Each element, from the sapphire to the enamel to the glittering diamonds, comes together to create a ring that is at once breathtaking and beautiful.
The design is reminiscent of a scarab beetle, a symbol of transformation and rebirth. The enamel also calls to mind the wings of angelic beings, seraphic and light. What sort of powerful intentions might you embody with such a ring on your finger? May it be a reminder of your own connection to the light and transformational power of the universe.
